Cybercrime Mitigation Practices: Keeping Your Data and Client Secrets Safe

August 24, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

The West Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association invites you to attend its Cybercrime Mitigation Practices: Keeping Your Data and Client Secrets Safe Program on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at noon. The program will be held in the Jury Assembly room at the Grand Rapids federal courthouse with a Zoom option.

A panel discussion, including Q&A, of leading cybersecurity and data privacy experts will provide guidance to practitioners regarding their own data privacy practices, as well as useful information to advise clients on various data security issues. Not only will you receive practical advice, but you will be better suited to identify and address potential pitfalls (of both your own system and your clients’). The panel consists of FBI Cybersquad Special Agent Tom Peller, data privacy experts John Rolecki (Varnum) and Jason Crow (Miller Johnson), and IT security and data management specialist Dave Stutzman (Relevant Networks LLC). The panel will also discuss the impact of federal laws on issues pertaining to cybersecurity and data privacy.

If you would like to order a boxed lunch for $15.00, please contact Melissa Rabidoux at Melissa_Rabidoux@fd.org by August 18.  Please also contact Melissa Rabidoux if you need the Zoom link.
