International Rule of Law Program on March 15

The West Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association invites you to attend its International Rule of Law Program on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. The program will be held in the Jury Assembly room at the Grand Rapids federal courthouse with a Zoom option.  A Zoom link will be sent to the FBA’s membership via email.

United States Magistrate Judge Sally Berens, and Assistant United States Attorneys Erin Lane and Clay Stiffler will discuss their recent international travels to support the rule of law. Judge Berens and AUSA Lane recently returned from Mongolia, where they worked with the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Program. AUSA Clay Stiffler just returned from an 18-month detail to the U.S. Embassy in Tirana, Albania, as part of DOJ’s Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT). We will hear the details and you will also learn about how to become involved and apply for international opportunities.
